"For Good" lyrics

(Elphaba):
I'm limited
Just look at me - I'm limited
And just look at you
You can do all I couldn't do, Glinda
So now it's up to you
For both of us - now it's up to you...

(Glinda):
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...

Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend...

Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you

(Glinda):
Because I knew you

(Both):
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for

(Glinda):
But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share

(Both):
And none of it seems to matter anymore

(Glinda):
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood

(Elphaba):
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a bird in the wood

(Both):
Who can say if I've been
Changed for the better?
I do believe I have been
Changed for the better

(Glinda):
And because I knew you...

(Elphaba):
Because I knew you...

(Both):
Because I knew you...
I have been changed for good...

Mahalia Jackson Theatre Wicked tickets!

Hey New Orleans Theatre lovers! March and April are your lucky months this year! Wicked will be running at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans from March 24-April 11th! There are a total of 26 performances! Wicked is popular around the world, with numerous tours sold out all over the Nation and abroad! Now is your chance to see Wicked on your home turf! No traveling required! Buy your Mahalia Jackson Theatre Wicked tickets today before they are completely sold out! In the grand scheme of things, 26 performances is not all that much, when you think about how many people are going to want to go to Wicked in New Orleans! It's better to buy your tickets early, then watch them disappear in front of your eyes!

I have not been lucky enough to see Wicked in person, YET! When I was living in Connecticut, Wicked was in Hartford, but by the time I found out, all the tickets were SOLD OUT!!! Now I am left to patiently waiting for the Wicked tour to come to Minneapolis, which I hope is SOON!!! I am a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz, and I cannot wait to see the pre-story of the Witches of Oz! Turns out the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the North were roommates in college, and things are not always as they appear! Wicked shows the back story, and we might have everything all wrong with our assumptions on who is good and who is bad! What a great story idea!

Ticket King has tickets in the Orchestra level, row AA at $225 each for the April 11th afternoon show! Check out other ticket options for the Mahalia Jackson Theatre Wicked schedule at TicketKingOnline.com! I cannot wait to see Wicked, winner of three Tony Awards in 2004! Don't delay!

If you've seen Wicked, share with us what you thought of the Musical!

Rochester Auditorium Theatre Wicked tickets available through Ticket King!

The story of Wicked mostly takes place before Dorothy stumbles upon Oz and Munchkinland. Wicked tells the background story of Elphaba, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.

Originally, Elphaba and Glinda are friends, but their differences in personality, viewpoints, and other life influences bring them to where they end up as we know them from the Wizard of Oz. Buy your Rochester Auditorim Theatre Wicked tickets NOW!

Wicked definitely gives you a different idea about why the Wicked Witch of the West is the way she is....if you've already seen Wicked, or after you see the show, please let me know what you think! I sure had to put my opinion of Elphaba on a pedestal and re-evaluate after reading the synopsis (because I have to admit, I've been wanting to see it, and when it's been in my area, I did not buy Wicked tickets early enough and missed out, so I finally had to read the storyline online!).

The musical version of Wicked premiered in May 2003, in San Francisco, and Wicked opened on Broadway at Gershwin Theatre in October 2003. Wicked was nominated for ten Tony Awards in 2004, winning three Tony Awards, for Best Leading Actress, Best Scenic Design and Best Costume design. Wicked did not win the Tony Award for Best Musical, losing to Avenue Q (check back soon for a blog about Avenue Q!!!). Wicked musical tickets will be flying off the shelves, so buy Wicked tickets now for the lovely...and unlovely witches in your life!

Twenty-five performances might seem like a lot, leading you to believe that you have all the time in the world to purchase your Wicked tickets for Rochester Auditorium Theatre "at a later date", but Wicked grossed more than $56 million in the first year Wicked was on Broadway! The production of Wicked has been playing to capacity for almost every performance! Now is not the time to dawdle! Get on it with purchasing your Wicked tickets before you're outta luck, and GREEN with envy for those that get to attend Wicked without you!
